06/14 Game: Make Behave.

Post by littlebamf »

Dec 2nd

Elizabeth: Lizzie smoothed her dress down and took a breath. Oh, she was so, so owed for this...She grimaced as she surveyed the Club's interior. Sure, she was Shaw's temporary PA, but being in charge of this? More warning would have been nice...Oh well. She fixed a smile on her face. It wouldn't be that bad.

Tessa: Tessa found herself trying not to look very bored, gaze dartign around the room, flicking from person to person idly. "Well, this is different..." She also found she really wasn't as coordinated on pencil-thin heels as she'd previously thought.

Jason: Jason glanced quickly around the club as he stepped in. Now this was a welcome change of pace. It certainly beat anything else he could have spent the evening doing.

Jubilee: Jubilee looked around herself wide-eyed. Everything was so glamorous that she felt herself very small and non-existent.

Elizabeth: "Good evening, drinks are in the bar, any trouble or anything, just ask," Lizzie grinned as people started to come in, knowing she was really going to regret that...

* Northstar unconsciously tugged at his tuxedo jacket to straighten it minutely, fully conscious of how sharp he looked in formal.

Selene: Selene watched the nicely dressed and somewhat stiff waiter who had led them inside scurry off, then let her gaze wonder over the club's exquisite interior, raising an eyebrow in the process. "Interesting," she simply commented. She would have never expected to be invited to such an exclusive place, so this was entirely unfamiliar to her.

Northstar: He loved the upper-class surroundings almost as much as he loved the promise of upper-class fabulous men and an upper-class open bar.

Selene: A small smile appeared on her face when she saw Lizzie head over to them. "Hello, Liz," she greeted her with a nod. "It's good to see you again."

rachel: Rachel bit down on her lip and looked around, resisting the evil ideas that came to mind. She raised an eyebrow at Liz and got the feeling it was better not to ask, as it'd probably end up like the 'what are you wearing' conversation.

Andreas: Andreas was standing next to his girlfriend, his hands deeply burried in the pockets of his suit, glaring at the world half hidden by his mask. Anyone who would give him a weird look for it would receive a withering look. Which, to his discomfort, were less people than he would have thought. Especially the looks of the women were discomforting, they either had far too much rouge on their cheeks altogether, or were actually blushing at him.

Elizabeth: "Hey, Selene," she smiled, trying to keep looking like she vaguely knew what was happening. "I'm fine, nearly done down here so I'll be back soon."

Selene: "That's good to hear." Selene looked past Lizzie and the others at their surroundings. "So, you come here often, yes?"

Northstar: Looking around, he was surprised he couldn't seem to see any former clients offhand, as he usually could at any upper-class New York event. Perhaps everyone in this club was celibate? He smirked.

Elizabeth: "I do, I'm a member, actually. It's sort of a family thing, we've always been members since the Club started..." she trailed off. Oh that sounded bad.

Jubilee: Jubilee straightened her blue dress nervously.

Tessa: "You're scaring the girls, dear." Tessa leaned closer to Andy, noting the daggers he actually was shooting at anyone to look in his general direction. "You look good in that mask. It suits your face."

Northstar: Jean-Paul nodded vaguely as he was offered a crab puff and turned around, then raised his eyebrows in surprise. His smirk became much, much wider. "Thank you, mon seigneur." He leered as the waiter's back as he walked off.

Jubilee: "Uum.. Lizzie what should we do now..? I have never been at place like this.." Jubilee said.

Elizabeth: "If people want, there's a room aside just for us," Lizzie pointed to an archway on the far wall. "But you're welcome to stay around the main areas of the Club."

Selene: Selene frowned a little, walking close to Lizzie while they were shown through the club. "I see. You mean this is more of an exclusive and private thing then? How come they allow non-members to come here today?"

Andreas: "I wish I could take it off, but I guess that would only make it worse." He readjusted it a bit. Not because it didn't fit, Werner had surely got the best guy he could find for this, knowing him. But he was getting nervous, and he was eager to not to show it.

Elizabeth: Turning to Jubilee, she offered her a smile. "You just have fun, basically. Have a look around...It's a lovely building and all -" she paused to snag a drink off a tray. "So, just have fun really!"

Elizabeth: "And, you're here, because you've been invited. Se - Mr Shaw thought it would be good for people from the university to come. One of the perks of him being a benefactor of the school."

Tessa: "Yes, it would." She moved in front of her boyfriend and gave him a sly smile. "Is there something I can do that will make you less twitchy? Preferably something that won't get me arrested for indecent exposure?" So, it was see and be seen. Joy of joys.

rachel: She decided it was best ti follow Liz, mainly because it was kinda amusing to snicker at her being all hostess-like. Well, and she didn't really know anyone else.
Selene: Selene glanced suspiciously at a tray of drinks that was carried past them, wondering if she should simply help herself to one. "Yes, we've been obviously invited," she remarked. "But I wonder, how do people actually become members of this club? Is it solely based on inheritance?"

Elizabeth: "No...It can be lots of things, really. Nothing particuarly special. You can be born in, offered a place because of how sucessful you've become, that sort of thing."

Andreas: "Apart from that? No, sorry?" He made a deep sigh. "It was stupid to follow the invitation. I mean, I did get bored in that room all day, but this thing will probably even worse." He got himself a glass of...well, whatever it was, it should be alcoholic. So he downed the hole glass at once, noticing that the mask in fact held tight. Good thing.

Tessa: "Something tells me dancing nude to make you happy should be moved to the list of things to do in private." Tess grinned. "Come on. This place is just like...well, not just like, but closer to your place than mine. Use your imagination." She smiled faintly at the waiter who handed her a glass of something fizzy. Hey, might as well get drunk and have fun.

Selene: "Ah yes, I see." Selene nodded, still glancing at the drinks every now and then. "Why," she asked, then decided that it would probably better to clarify her question. "I mean, what is the reason for all of this? If I wanted to get served food and drink, I could go to countless other places." She gave Lizzie a wry smile. "But I guess that's exactly the point, no? To not have everyone else just wander in, am I right?"

* Northstar looked around. He didn't recognize almost anyone else in the room with whom he would like to associate. He grabbed a drink from a passing tray and downed it, briefly considering the thought of finding a water to "associate" with in one of the aforementioned side rooms.

Jubilee: Jubilee wasn't sure if she should have a drink or not, after all she wasn't used to alcohol. Maybe she should ask wether there she could get a drink without alcohol..

Elizabeth: She groaned a little, closing her eyes for a moment. "Selene. This conversation defeats the point of tonight. You're supposed to have fun and a new experience." Not bother me with these awkward social questions...

rachel: "Fun meaning...?" she shot Lizzie a smirk.

Jason: After milling around for a while Jason considered slipping into the room that Lizzie had indicated was set aside for them. Nobody else seemed to be making their way towards there however so he settled on staying put for the moment. He might as well be sociable and join the other's conversations. Though Lizzie didn't look like she was exactly enjoying hers. "Fun, there, two new experiences in one night. Should keep us all busy."

Elizabeth: Her face became even more pained. "Not that sort of fun or you'll get me in trouble. God, just don't get caught or anything..." she muttered, giving up and went to take a seat.

Andreas: "I'd rather not. My place has the disadvantage of my family." He looked around for Shaw. Damn butthead was nowhere in sight though, so questining him about this invitation would have to wait. "Not to mention that the people in my imagination tend to be nude. I doubt the image of my dear nude father would be viagra for my sexdrive."

Selene: "What if having a meaningful conversation is my understanding of having fun," Selene asked, her brow furrowing. Eventually, she shrugged and let out a small sigh. "Very well, I guess I'll have a drink and go stare at a random wall then."

Jubilee: "Lizzie, I'm sorry to bother you again, but do all the drinks have alcohol in them?" Jubilee asked Elizabeth a bit nervously.

Jason: "Enjoy." Well, that had went swimmingly.

Elizabeth: "Hmm?" she looked up at Jubes. "Oh, no they don't, just ask a waiter for whatever drink you want and they'll get it for you."

Jubilee: "Thank's Lizzie!"

Tessa: "I doubt the image of your father nude should be in the same thought as sex. It's scary." She snickered into her glass. "But, you know, no one's in that room through the archway yet." She debated giving Andy a quick pinch, and discarded that after she spied several people looking their way. Damn.

Elizabeth: "Oh, don't worry about it, it's what I'm here for!" she smiled, sipping at her glass, jumping as she realised she'd picked up wine...Oh well.

rachel: "Fine, I'll behave. It's just not as much fun but wouldn't want you to get in trouble," Rachel rolled her eyes.

Elizabeth: "Well it wouldn't be me that just got in trouble, Sebastian had to leave me in charge and keep order so he'd get done, and whomever let him do this would get it in the neck too..."

Selene: "Ah, that's good to hear," Selene said after overhearing Jubilee's question. She sat down in one of the incredibly comfortable seats and waited until a waiter looked her way, then ordered a glass of orange juice. Leaning back, crossing her legs, she let her eyes wander over the club and the other people.

* Northstar pondered Andreas and Tessa, who seemed to be having some prurient thoughts of their own.

rachel: "Yeah, that sounds kinda bad...so guess I'll avoid that. I think the office was more fun than this though. Plus, what you were wearing at the office was more fun to laugh at," she grinned.

Jason: "You're here to teach people how to order at a bar and babysit? Oh you must be absolutely adoring this part of your work experience." Jason eased into a seat near Lizzie, feeling just the smallest bit of pity now.

Elizabeth: "It was fun. And legitimate as you were actually doing something useful in the process of weirding people out...And, I like what I was wearing. Suits me." She swivelled her head to Jason and gave a tight grin. "Basically. Yes. I might as well put my ladylike instructions to good use."

Jubilee: After a while Jubilee had gotten herself a drink, that tasted like strawberries, and sat on a sofa.

Andreas: He had to laugh at that. "I like you train of thought. But then, following her eyes, he also noticed the staring people (one of them his former roommate, that gay dude), and he backpedaled too. "But for now we should probably better mix ourselves with the plebs, what do you think?" Her answer consisted of a smiling nod, so he gave her a little peck on the cheek and, halfly not wanting to let go, finally headed off towards Elizabeth.

rachel: "Well, yeah, it suited you. Just weird since it's not something I'd normally see you wear," she shrugged.

Elizabeth: "I'm not normally working as a PA! I can hardly run laps or fix the jet in high heels and a pencil skirt, now can I?" she poked her tongue out ar Rae. "And nice to see you got to use that dress again..."

Selene: Selene tapped her fingers together as she waited for her drink, wondering if she should have taken one of her books along. She yet failed to see the appeal of this. At least she could sit back and watch other people, that was always fairly interesting.

rachel: "Well, you could. It'd be incredibly amusing though," Rachel poked her tongue out back, making a face at the mention of the dress, "Yeah, right, dress. Can't say it got much use last time I worse it..."

Jason: "Perhaps you should start a school. Elizabeth Braddock's school of etiquette with special emphasis on courses applying on how not to embarrass you." Jason raised an eyebrow as he considered the idea of Lizzie running her laps in high heels and a pencil skirt. That was an accident waiting to happen right there.

Andreas: Noticing that Rachel, at least he hopped that was the name of the little accessory Elizabeth had gotten herself, was with her too, he gave both of them a slight bow. "A pleasure to finally have time to talk with our beautiful host." This was accompanied by a misterious half-smile, purposely hidding whether he was serious or not.

Selene: "Thank you." She took the glass of orange juice with a nod and had a sip. She wouldn't deny that she was feeling lost and somewhat out of place, so she resorted her tried and true tactic of not attracting attention.

Elizabeth: "Me teach? The idea actually makes me want to cry..." she sighed, sipping her drink. Bad idea, probably. Oh, god, she almost bit down on the rim of the wine glass and looked up at Andreas. "Hmm?"

Jubilee: "Selene, you should try this drink, it tastes like strawberries.." Jubilee said to Selene, to make a conversation.

rachel: "Hey, Andreas."

Andreas: "Well, since Shaw isn't here yet, you are as much of a host as we get. Quite an improvement, if you'd ask me." Rachel's greeting was appreciated with a nod, while he gave Lizzie a winking eye.

Selene: Selene turned to look at Jubilee, then down at the glass she was holding. "It does? That sounds interesting. I like strawberries." She looked up at her again. "May I try a bit of yours?"

Jason: "Well, not so much teach as abuse pupils into submission." Jason looked up as Andreas made a rather cloying entrance. Well this should at least provide some extra amusement.

rachel: "And, you're not that bad at teaching. You taught Bobby and I how to shield."

Elizabeth: Her teeth actually made contact with the glass at the wink. Slime. Standing up, she held out her hand, a little indifferently. "Yes, well he was held up because of the weather so I had to step in at short notice. He sends his apologies. Now, was there anything you needed?"

Jubilee: "Uum.. Maybe it's better if you get your own.." Jubilee said.

Andreas: Now, her voice seemed a little bit cold. Sad. "Ah, the weather. That was what I actually wanted to know...Though, this talk about your teaching career has caught me by surprise. Anything planned in that direction?"

Selene: "Fine," Selene replied with a shrug and turned to look out for the nearest waiter. It almost seemed as if one of them had only been waiting for her to do this, as he immediately appeared at her side. How practical. "Could you bring me the same drink that she has, please." Selene paused, then added: "Oh, and perhaps a few of your other fruit juices, as well. I would like to try them."

Elizabeth: "Absolutely not," she snorted. "I'm not the teaching type...Small children bore me."

Jason: "We're all just enjoying the horror of the thought, basically."

Selene: It wasn't like she had anything better to do at that moment, and this club admittedly had a delicious orange juice. So she could at least see what else they had to offer.

Jason: Jason smirked as he sat back from commenting. He had a feeling who Lizzie might consider a small child and he was parading around in an ridiculous looking mask at the moment.

Andreas: "And grown up children? I could see you as a teacher at Xavier's. Not only would you be a merit to the faculty if it comes to teaching, considering Farouk it would probably also be an improvement in the face...department..." What should have been a joke on another one's costs now dawned him as a rather bad idea, regarding his current condition. "Not that I should talk..." He sighed.

Elizabeth: She supposed she'd better go and wander the Club to make sure everyone was alright. It was a quiet night, so she was sure people would be getting bored by now...She glanced off inconspicuosly., wondering if Andreas had anything else to talk about. She glanced back, trying not to sigh.

Selene: While she waited for her drinks to arrive, Selene inspected the other students who had come along. Her puzzled gaze rested particularly long on Andreas, specifically his face - and the mask that covered a part of it. "Are we still celebrating Halloween, or is it Carnival again?"

Jason: "Oh please tell me you aren't going to drip your depression in our area here, are you, Andreas?"

Elizabeth: "Well, for one thing I would need to study in education, which I haven't, and it doesn't matter what a teacher looks like, it's their ability. I'm sure Xavier has a reason for keeping Farouk."

Selene: "I'd say he's probably an excellent cook," Selene offered as an explanation.

rachel: She glanced between Andy and Jason, deciding it'd be better not to mention the mask.

Elizabeth: "Actually it's Bishop who's the cook," she put in, trying to resist commenting on the mask herself. It wouldn't be polite...

Andreas: "Yes, probably." He snuck another glass from a by-floating tray. "But i see you are rather restless, don't let me stop you, I think I can amuse myself." Now, which one of them deserves more a glassfull of...ah, yes, champaign in the face?

Jubilee: Jubilee took a sip from her soon-to-be-empty glass. "Can I have some non-alcoholic fruit-drinks as well?" Jubilee asked the waiter, trying to act politely.

Elizabeth: "Oh, I merely need to see to the rest of the guests. Can't Tessa amuse you? She seems to take up all your time because I never see you for fencing anymore."

Selene: The waiter returned with a tray and set down several glasses of assorted fruit juices and cocktails on the table in front of Selene. She thanked him with a small nod, before she tried to decide which drink to have first.

Andreas: "It has started to bore me. I guess the first things you change in your life while away from home are those you have been forced to do all your life. And Tessa...I am sure she could amuse me, but I also know that you wouldn't approve of it right now..."

Selene: "I'm certain no one here would," she tossed in, rolling her eyes, and took the glass with the strawberry juice.

Elizabeth: "Well that's all well and good if it's boring you, but it would be polite to say so," she made a small face. "Or is politeness boring to you as well now?" she raised an eyebrow. "Now if you would excuse me."

* Northstar smirked, close enough to Andreas and Selene to catch the end of their conversation with his slightly pointed ears. "I'd be amused."

Andreas: "Sure, he toasted towards her and finally decided to drink this champaign rather than spilling it on Pat or Patterchon ver there.

Jubilee: The waiter came back carrying a tray full of colourful drinks and set it down on a small table.

Jason: Jason closed his eyes briefly as he concentrated on not laughing at the exchange he had just witnessed.

Jubilee: Jubilee decided to try a drink with greenish-yellow colour.

Jubilee: She took a sip from the glass and decided the drink tasted lime and perhaps a little bit like grape-fruit.

Elizabeth: After going to knock her head off a wall behind a tapestry, Lizzie emerged and wandered the room. Oh...Someone do something...She finished her wine and put the glass down on a tray.

Jubilee: "Selene do you like the drink, the strawberry tasting one?" She asked Selene.

Selene: "Oh yes. You are right," Selene remarked towards Jubilee after she had tried the strawberry juice herself. "This tastes rather well. I have to admit that this place serves excellent fruit juice, at least."

Elizabeth: "How are you two doing?" she asked, stationing herself next to Selene. Shaw owed her for this.

Jubilee: "I know! They taste wonderful!" Jubilee said smiling.

Selene: "Feeling somewhat intrigued and out of place at the same time, so I'd say, as usual," she replied to Lizzie with a lopsided smile, sipping on her drink. "I hope to see you again at the school soon." She turned to Jubilee. "How does this one taste," she asked, pointing at the lime-green one Jubilee had just tried.

Elizabeth: "Well if you want to explore and look at stuff, you're free to. You don't need to stay in here, this room is just aside so people aren't lost in a sea of strangers."

Jubilee: "It tastes like lime and a bit like grape-fruit" Jubilee aswered and took another sip from her drink.

Selene: Selene frowned and glanced sideways for a moment. "Yes, exploration sounds like a neat idea. I'll consider it. Though, I would not want to do or say anything wrong that might get you or myself in trouble. Much to my own surprise, I'm actually getting considerate of these particularities."

Elizabeth: Ookay, well that was called being ignored...She got back up and went to the doorway of the room, looking back through to where the main crowd was that night. She bet JP was off indulging in his own brand of fun, so, that left Jason and Rae really. Andreas was probably going off to find a chandiler...

Selene: "Oh, lime, now that sounds promising." She raised a eyebrow at Jubilee. "I think I'll have to order that one for myself."

Elizabeth: Oh...Now she was being talked to. "Well, if you don't want to say anything wrong don't say anything. Just look like you don't want to be spoken to and no one will speak to you."

Selene: Selene smirked at Lizzie. "I'm quite certain I won't have much trouble with that, thank you."

Elizabeth: "Really, no one will bother you. It's all about how you carry yourself."

Selene: "I see. I'll keep that in mind." Selene gave Lizzie a nod, then glanced over what she could see of the club from her place.

Jubilee: "I think I will just be staying here.." Jubilee said playing with a strand lock of hair nervously.

rachel: "Well, this is exciting," Rachel glanced over at Jason.

Elizabeth: "And that's fine, if you need anything just ask," she nodded and went back to sit next to Jason and Rae, pondering having another drink...

Jason: Jason laughed at Rachel's comment. "Well, it's interesting at least." Jason nodded to Lizzie as she returned. "Did you have a nice tour of escape?"

Elizabeth: "Yes and no...In a way I'd hoped more people would come tonight. More people to worry about but more people to talk to at least...Something usually happens at these things though, even if you do have to get creative - in a not getting caught way..."

Selene: "I'll stay for a while longer, as well," Selene said, trying another drink. "After all, there should be enough time for exploration later. "

Jason: "Are you suggesting creativity?" Jason smirked. This sounded like it had possibilities.

Elizabeth: "Indeed. Just as long as it can't be followed back to you...Anything is possible here, really."

rachel: Rachel raised an eyebrow and looked around, "Hm...not getting caught is really not my thing so guess I'll have to pass, sadly..."

Elizabeth: "Is it not? You do dissapoint me. As much as I did say I was loathe to teaching, you will have to watch and learn Rae..." she made herself comfortable on the seats for a moment before sitting up. "Now, it'd help if we had potential targets..." Oh stuff it. She was getting bored.

Jubilee: Jubilee finished the lime-grape-fuit drink. Turning to Selene she asked "What drink would you recomend next?"

rachel: "I'm the apprentice, you're supposed to teach me," she smirked. "Can we use Andy as the target?"

Jason: "Come now, hone your craft, Rachel." Well, it wasn't really the most creative thing he could do but it would amuse himself at least. "Well, I think I've picked mine." Jason gave a very slight nod in Andreas' direction as the background music seemed to shift from a unidentifiable violin piece to The Music of the Night.

Elizabeth: "And I haven't been teaching you already?" she snorted as the music changed. "Oh I wish I'd paid more attention in choir. I'm sure they tried to teach this to us..."

Selene: "I would suggest the one with grenadine," Selene replied with a nod. "It tastes fairly interesting. The people here are creative with their drinks."

Selene: Selene perked up when Lizzie mentioned that anything would be possible at this place. Perhaps this club wasn't such a bore then she thought it was, after all.

Jason: "I believe I'm going to have to find the lyrics when we're back at the school. It's too much to resist really."

Elizabeth: "Well, if I can’t sing, I can still dance..." Lizzie offered Jason her hand with a pretty smile. "And ask Laura. I'm sure she has them."

Jubilee: "Hmm.. It does sound interesting.. I think I will try it. Wich on is it?"

Jason: Jason returned the smile with a delight only found in him with this level of mocking and took the offered hand. "Oh excellent, he'll have the song trapped in his head for weeks with any luck."

rachel: Rachel rolled her eyes and leaned back in her chair.

Selene: Selene grabbed one of the glasses and handed it Jubilee. "Here, this one. Oh, and try that one, too." She pushed pushed another glass her way. "I think there's some passion fruit in it."

Elizabeth: "You can dance, I hope..." she stood up, heading for a clear space they could dance in.

rachel: Well, if Jason couldn't dance, at least she'd get amusment.

Jubilee: "Thank you, Selene!"

Jason: "I'm not the best but I can assure you your feet will not be the worse for wear." At least he was more suited to dancing to music such as this. Now there was something to consider, always alter the music to suit yourself.

Elizabeth: "Good, I like these heels!" she relaxed a little now she knew she wasn't going to be squashed, and let him take the lead, trying not to let the laughter show on her face.

Selene: "You're welcome." Selene looked towards the dancefloor, at Lizzie and Jason. This should provide some entertainment, at last.

Jason: Jason had the music swell up just a little bit more as they started to dance. "I'm beginning to think that our creativity has been wasted. Still quite fun though."

Tessa: Tessa leaned back in the chair she'd moved to, sipping slowly on the peach-colored drink in her hands and smiling at the music. Normally, she wasn't a huge fan of anything overly classical. But this was nice, all things considered.

Elizabeth: "Oh creativity is never wasted. As long as you amuse yourself with it, then that's all that matters. Plus Rae is enjoying this," she nodded over her shoulder to where Rae was sat, watching and grinning evilly.

Jason: "Well, I suppose I do owe her some enjoyment." Jason allowed himself a smirk as he recalled tackling her in the recroom. How on earth he had let himself be talked into that game he couldn't remember...oh yes he could. Goading Sam. "Amusing yourself should be the primary goal, shouldn't it?"

Elizabeth: "Oh?" she was curious, but the look on his face told him she wasn't that curious..."And yes. That's one of the main reasons I love coming here because I can always end up amusing myself if nothing else."

Selene: Dancing certainly looked like a fun alternative. Even dancing alone could provide plenty of entertainment. But she would probably look even more out of place if she did that, so Selene had to think of something else. Perhaps some exploration would be in order now.

Selene: She looked between the others, setting her glass down. "I think I'll see what else this place has to offer."

rachel: Rachel raised an eyebrow at them looking at her and made a face. May as well give them something to look at...

Jason: "So this is something like your usual activity here? I can imagine that considering some of the patrons a place like this is likely to have that that could be really quite fun."

Elizabeth: "Well, usual is maybe a bit strong, but yes, I do like to have fun here. My most recent fun was starting a catfight by 'knocking' a glass over from a great distance. Chaos ensured."

Tessa: Tessa hummed to the music as it swelled gracefully, though she'd rather have her violin and play that. She stood, finally, tired of being idly looked at--or at least having the feeling of it--and went to find her boyfriend. Wherever he'd got to.

Selene: Selene got to her feet, a little sad to leave the comfortable chair behind for now, but curiosity got the better of her. She started wandering around the club, curiously watching the other patrons, but always keeping her distance from them.

Jason: "Oh now that sounds like something I could enjoy a good deal." Jason smiled at the thought of causing high society catfights and other such chaos. "I imagine it rather trumps a night in in any case."

Elizabeth: "Oh, yes. Though it's a bit annoying having to travel up and down and up and down from school to here, so I don't come as often as I'd like to," they span around the space to the music. "But most stuff trumps a night in. Especially when they start playing bloody games in the rec room."

Jason: "I'm afraid I too have fallen victim to the rec room games. Though it was made up for by witnessing Sam waltzing in a state of near undress."

Elizabeth: She almost fell over her own foot at that, and gave him a bemused glance. "I'm sure that's an...interesting story..." she glanced around as the song started to finish. "Well we'll just have to make this more interesting."

Jason: "That we will have to do. Any requests?" Jason took a quick look around for possible victims.

Selene: She came across quite a few people socialising and a multitude of extravagant decor. Then there were the things she had no idea what they were supposed to be, and some people dressed even more outlandish than her. Apparently, there was something intriguing to this place, after all. Several minutes later, Selene made her way back to where she had last seen the others.

Elizabeth: "Well, that's the thing. I have ideas aplently to make this more interesting, but I'm supposed to keep, well...for want of a better word, order. Really, I'd like it if we could all get a bit tipsy and go play hide and seek and scare old people."

Selene: "They even got a games room here," she told them as she returned, sitting down at her place to have a sip of juice. "I think I've seen a poker table, and black jack, and a couple of chess boards."

Elizabeth: "Well if you want to play, go ahead. It's an open night so you're allowed to join in."

Jason: "Ah startling the elderly. You never know if they'll scream their teeth out or drop dead from a heart attack." Jason found himself terribly tempted. "Well, everyone else seems to be behaving themselves well enough. You're probably doing better than anyone would have expected."

Elizabeth: "I know. I don't know what's come over me. I'm being responsible in a public place."

rachel: She let out a sigh and ran a hand through her hair, "Hide and seek sounds like fun, and it's...pretty much harmless..."

Elizabeth: "Unless you hide under a sette and stroke someone's ankles...Or roll out from behind a side table...Or sit in the hat cupboard..."

Jason: "It's harmless until you go to hide in a closet and find yourself privvy to a secret tryst that would make absolutely lovely tabliod fodder you mean."

Elizabeth: "Oh, that too!" Lizzie nodded with a smirk. "Done that when I was fifteen at the London branch."

Jason: "Really now?" Well, that was most definitely an intriguing idea. "I think this place is growing on me now."

rachel: "None of those are too bad...well, except for the tabloid fodder..."

Elizabeth: "Well, it depends really on who you scare. Remember who's out there. It's either rich people or rich old people who could drop dead at a moments notice."

Jason: "Hmm, two amusements for the price of one with the drawback of elderly flesh. I'm not certain it's worth it."

Selene: "Which is good, since they can't run after you or complain about you then," Selene remarked with a nod.

Elizabeth: Hmm. Jason did seem keen....Ooh, had she managed to recruit a new member out of this maybe?

Elizabeth: "No Selene, because they're dead. And people don't like dead bodies...."

Selene: "Some people do," she replied with another knowing nod.

Jason: Riiiight "Well, in any case, liking dead bodies or not there would still be the small detail of what to do with said dead body."

Elizabeth: "Well they're either morticians or they need to talk to a nice doctor."

rachel: "I'm sure we could find a way to dispose of a body. It's just not something any of us would enjoy doing, I don't think..."

Selene: "At least this would make for an entertaining game," Selene remarked with a sly smile.

Elizabeth: "And indeed. I'm responsible tonight, so any dead bodies I'd have to deal with and I'm not sure that's my area of expertise..."

Jason: Jason quirked an eyebrow in Lizzie's direction. "For the record, just because my family does spend a good deal of time with the dead for work doesn't mean we consider much else with the dead."

Elizabeth: "We are not disposing of any dead bodies! Please! Don't make me spank you!"

Elizabeth: She blinked at Jason. "Well...That makes little sense to me. But I think that's the wine. I haven't drunk for about four months you know and it was only a little glass then."

Selene: "Fine, very well," Selene held up her hands and tried to look as innocent as possible. "I guess that also includes not producing any dead bodies. Though, scaring people always amuses me a great deal."

Jason: "Can we blame the offer of spanking on the wine as well?"

Elizabeth: "No. I'd honestly spank. With one of those," she waved her hand to the ornate fireplace, where there was a rack of ornamental pokers propped up in a stand.

Jason: Jason surveyed the pokers and had to admit that was a rather impressive array considering what they were discussing. "Now that would smart. Do you intend to poke fires before or after?"

Selene: Selene crossed her arms and smirked. "And here I thought you shouldn't entice us to misbehave."

rachel: "Kinky," she smirked.

Elizabeth: "Oh no poking. I doubt that has had a fire in it since 1890..." she gave a smirk. "And I'm trying to get you to behave in a - well, just don't bloody well get caught and get me in trouble or I'll get fired from a job that I don't exactly have, but is still rather nice."

rachel: "So, does getting caught and altering their memory count?"

Selene: "Don't worry," Selene replied with a slight nod, looking more sincere. "I said that I will try to refrain from anything that might get you in trouble."

Elizabeth: "Good good," she gestured off towards the club. "Then go forth and have fun in such a manner. It's why you're here after all.."

Selene: "Possibly not." She looked at Rachel. "You have heard her, as long as nothing hints at us being the culprits, and Lizzie not losing her job, we should be fine."

Jason: Jason wondered if he should at least say something to dissaude mind tampering but he realized that not only would that make him sound more of a hypocrite than usual but would probably spoil any more bits of fun. "This should be interesting."

rachel: "True, so what do we want to do?" she grinned.

Elizabeth: "It should hopefully be. AFter all it's been less than a blast so far, but things happen," she shrugged a little. "Oh, sod it. Let's just play hide and seek. With the added rule of not getting caught by any of the other people here..."

Elizabeth: "That way we can avoid dead bodies..."

Selene: "I had almost suggested trying out our telekinesis at the craps table they have in the games room, but hide and seek sounds amusing, too." Selene nodded and emptied her glass.

Elizabeth: "Umm...Selene. Please, don't do that. You might get arrested."

Jason: Cheating in gambling? Jason found himself rather intrigued but it wouldn't be a good idea at all.

rachel: "Yeah, being arrested isn't pleasant, so hide and seek sounds good to me."

Selene: Selene frowned. She should have suggested a pickpocketing competition. Some of the patrons here looked awfully rich. She made a slight face and sighed. "Yes, you're probably right."

Elizabeth: "I'd say Jason is it," she gave his arm a pat. "Count to a hundred, no peeping or I'll spank, alright?"

Jason: "Promise?"

Selene: "Lizzie certainly know how to make these games interesting," Selene remarked with a half-smile towards Jason.

Elizabeth: "Promise..." she winked. "I should bring you to one of the Fantasy Nights here..."

Selene: "Fantasy Nights," Selene asked, while she started to think of a good place to hide.

Elizabeth: "Members only generally. They're just a bit of a laugh really."

Jason: "Fantasy nights...that does sound like something I'm going to be curious about." This place was becoming more and more interesting. "Well, a bit of a laugh is always good."

Selene: "Ah, now I see." Selene nodded with still crossed arms. "They keep the really entertaining events to the members here."

Elizabeth: "Don't think about it too much, just get counting!" she smiled and started to make for the doorway.

Jason: "Fine, fine. One, two," Jason decided to be a good sport for a while and closed his eyes.

rachel: Rachel waited until Jason had started counting to slink off in a direction to look for someplace to hide.

Elizabeth: Lizzie smirked and pulled her heels off, silently skipping out of a door half hidden by a hanging at the back of the room.

Jason: "And you had best hope I don't find any particulary interesting tabloid fodder involving the elderly. It might change my mind about coming back here." Jason had to comment as he neared 100. Chances were though that he would still be tempted.

Selene: Better to get to the hiding, Selene thought as Jason started counting. She took off through the doorway. Too bad Lizzie had said that the other people shouldn't see them, or she could have hidden among those elderly people she had seen before. Possibly by telepathically convincing them that she was their granddaughter. She could have gotten a few presents out of this.

Selene: Oh well, that old giant floor clock would have to do in this case.
