How should nightcrawler return?
"Sorry, folks. We can't "get over it" like that. For a lot of posters here, Nightcrawler is really, really special." For me, I'm not even a reader of comics, so I don't care what other stuff is out there, good or bad, Marvel or otherwise. I ran across Kurt in X-2 and was fascinat...

How should nightcrawler return?
OK, that makes more sense to me now. I didn't even listen to the lyrics. I was just totally puzzled by the entire thing, finding a video of some guy singing where I expected at least something about Kurt, although I didn't truly think he was back. Not to mention the info about being Rick Rolled as s...

How should nightcrawler return?
I've ordered that issue, but haven't gotten it yet, so am unable to comment on any of the details of what happened. If we knew for sure that Kurt would be returned to us in some way and reasonably soon, it wouldn't be so bad. But I've been in fandoms where a character gets killed off, everyone gets ...

Angelique,
Would you please post the email addresses of the people you mentioned at Marvel? I'd like to write to them also.

Thanks, neling4! From the review, it doesn't even sound as if they did it very well.
To say that I'm disappointed and dismayed would be an understatement, but if I said what I'm reallly thinking, I'd be thrown off this forum for serious overuse of profanity.

How should nightcrawler return?
From what I've read here, I gather that Nightcrawler has been killed off. Since I don't have easy access to a comic store, would someone be kind enough to tell me which issues I need to find in order to see how this happened?

Maelstrom,
I have no idea if you'll ever read my comment, but I have to agree with the others: excellent story!! Well thought out and well told. Thank you for a great read.

Nightcrawler Origins
Guess I'm in the minority as far as liking the recently retconned version of Kurt's past better than many of the earlier ones. I much prefer characters who go through agonizing experiences and yet manage to survive without being turned into maniacs or monsters, but instead become heroes despite ever...

Wow, there's actually someone posting to this thread more recently than 2005! You're another newcomer like I am, ja? The translation of what you wrote is "Get out (of here)! I am the messenger of the Devil." The novel has it as "Ich bin ein Bote des Teufels". If this is correct, ...

OK, I'll see if I can find the other thread you mentioned.
Still interested in hearing the latest about Kurt in the comics though, so I'll keep an eye on this one also.

Is the novelization of X-2 that you mention the one by Chris Claremont, or is there yet another one? I did notice some differences between Chris' book and the movie, but that's not unusual in novelizations. However, I didn't see what you referred to, as far as anyone sharing a cell with Kurt, altho ...

I thought I had gotten it from this site's gallery of X-2 pics, but now I can only find it as a small pic on the first page of the Gallery, where the link to Movie Nightcrawler appears. I must have downloaded it from somewhere, as I have it on my computer as wallpaper. I noticed in a book called &qu...

It's an alternate universe version of Kurt, not something Kurt himself ever did.

I've been trying to find a copy of the new Origins book, but there are precious few comic stores around where I live. The only one I found that had had a few copies was all sold out by the time I got there. Does anyone know anyplace online that I might be able to get one? Or would anyone who has rea...

neling, Thanks so much for the info! I've already been able to locate one of the issues on the basis of your description and the links, and now have a better idea as to what to search for on the rest. One good thing about getting into something late, as I did, is that there's a lot of good stuff alr...

Thanks to all of the recommendations and suggested links, I've been able to find most of the issues mentioned. I do have two questions. "Road Trip" was highly recommended, but it was given as in Nation X, #1. I can't find any listings for Nation X. Was there more to the title than just tha...

Thanks for the info. I won't start looking for it until then. My only experience in buying comic books so far is trying to locate the old ones that have been recommended to me. I don't even know if there's a good place to buy new comics in my town.

I think that was mentioned as something to come out in March 2010. Hey, it's March now! Anyone know anything else about this? I have two questions/comments. The first is about the photo that I've been using. It comes from a photo in the Gallery, but there's no such scene in X-2, so far as I can see....

Excellent story! Combines a possible answer to two of my top questions: why did Kurt not continue with the X-Men, and where did his scars come from? Sehr gut!

If Nightcrawler had been in the movie
Yes, I read the same thing, based on a description of the video game. That's why I said "In my head". With all the inconsistencies to be found in the comics, not to mention inconsistency between the comics and the movies, I figure that I can make up my own preferred version of Kurt. After ...

If Nightcrawler had been in the movie
I actually enjoyed X-3, except that Kurt wasn't in it. The scene near the end of the big battle, where Logan struggles over to Jean and kills her because he knew he had to, impressed me. In my head, I think Kurt was at that big battle, not fighting but rather saving as many innocent bystanders as he...
