Re: Uncanny X-force Thread

I really don't want Kurt to stay in 616. I was hoping that Hope, once getting a hold of the Phoenix in AvX, would bring Wagner back (come to think of it, why haven't the Phoenix 5 done that already!??) But Darkholme's place is in AoA, and by the looks of it, they really could use him. Remender's a ...

Re: Uncanny X-force Thread

SO. UNCANNY X-FORCE 27. SPOILERS AHOY So....how is Darkholme getting back to AoA? No. I do not want him staying in 616. After he kills everyone he's supposed to, he needs to go back home. But with Gateway gone, how is he going to do that?? That's the second exit ramp they've closed off for him. Dar...

Normal Happenstance(Kurt Wagner fic)

Here is a fic about Kurt Wagner and what might have happened if he'd tried to have a normal life, in addition to the X-Men.

Re: Uncanny X-force Thread

We'll see. I'd guess that right now Bets is just under mind-control. As of September solicits, Darkholme is still alive and well, so he may not be the advertised death on the team.

There is a poll posted on CBR (currently the most active X-Men forum) about which version of Nightcrawler reader's prefer. If anyone is interested in making themselves heard, here it is: http://forums.comicbookresources.com/sh ... ghtcrawler

Re: Uncanny X-force Thread

I wonder if he's ballsy enough to kill off a previous X-Force member, someone returning? Warpath? Domino? That's a bit overreaching though, I think. E.V.A.? Is that... wait who the hell is E.V.A.? Also, no one's ruled out Wolverine. I know it's unlikely, but I've said it before I'll say it again. I...

Re: Uncanny X-force Thread

OHMYGOD FANTOMEX/PSYLOCKE PLEASE DIE AND GO AWAY! LOL they're so TIRESOME in that book! You think that's what "Deadpool: DEAD" is? Or did that pass already? The Deadpool thing passed already. The serum he was after did remove his healer factor, so Wade can die, but also restored his good ...

Re: Uncanny X-force Thread

Have they officially said they're killing someone off? And also -- is there a chance Punisher and/or Cable could be NEW members? Sundown, I couldn't find a picture. Re: Uncanny X-force Thread

The solicit cover for issue #29 has an (apparently) aged Wolverine, Cable and Punisher fighting a normal-aged Psylocke.

I'm still more worried about who they're going to kill off. :-(

I liked it as well; it was a nice set-up issue. It was interesting to see a glimpse of what their personal hells were at the very end. Hopefully the next issue goes into it more.

My apologies, it wasn't meant to derail or even sound snarky. I really was just curious where the decision came from, as he's always been one of the more popular characters.

Campaign to Bring Back Kurt Wagner

As Slarti suggested in the Brevoort thread, here is a thread to discuss strategies for a fan effort to encourage the return of Kurt Wagner to the mainstream Marvel universe. For myself, I sent postcards I had made with Nightcrawler's picture to: Isaac Perlmutter, Alan Fine, Axel Alonso, and Nick Low...

Re: I asked Tom Brevoort about Nightcrawler

To be honest, I feel like a fence-rider in many ways on the issue. I'm a Nightcrawler fan of over 30 years, and I've seen the character in pretty much every incarnation writers have devised. Some I liked, some I didn't, but I kept reading regardless. The only thing that got me to stop reading was X-...

Considering how much I'd revised and added to them on the fanfiction site, it is probably better to just delete them. I'm sorry about that. After I caught what had happened the day after, I realized I couldn't edit my posts here. :( I'm glad you were enjoying the story. Tell me what you think about ...

Re: Uncanny X-force Thread

The bit at the end was creepy but... you know in a sick way it was sort of satisfying. Knowing everything Robert Drake has done... and is willing to do/continue doing? For his own selfish happiness? What a scum-bucket. I'm not entirely sure I disagree with Darkholme's decision to go after him. I of...

Re: Uncanny X-force Thread

I liked issue #24 just because it did show, in a startling way, how very different Kurt Darkholme is from Kurt Wagner. That bit at the end (with Kurt and Bobby) and the implications was one of the few times a comic book had given me chills. The new art was a welcome relief, and the Mike McKone stuff...

Re: I asked Tom Brevoort about Nightcrawler

Rogue is not necessarily being show favoritism just because she is being developed. I don't know about Pixie, but it looks like AvX is setting up to have Rogue severe her ties with Cyke AND Logan once and for all. Just because you're not a fan of a character and a definite fan of another doesn't me...

Re: I asked Tom Brevoort about Nightcrawler

That would definitely be a high-selling story arc though... Wouldn't it though? On what Freak said, I think part of the problem in recent years anyway has been writers and their character favouritism. Everything in X-Men has been inundated with the Summers clan, Wolverine or Rogue. Wolverine is the...

Re: AoA Nightcrawler (Darkholme) in Uncanny X-Force Teaser I

The red eyes appear to be intentional. In the preview art for #25 there is a photo on the wall where he is pictured, and the eyes are still red. May have to do with what Remender commented on about not confirming one way or the other yet if Sabretooth is AoA Crawler's father. http://www.comicbookres...
