Cartoons about Kurt as a kid
I love it! (Of course, being exposed to a lot of languages doesn't keep me from needing to study and work hard at it.)

The Winding Way (Nightcrawler #7-11) SPOILERS on last 2 page
Still, am I the only one that thinks the idea of Nightcrawler as guardian of Limbo is somehow, on a number of levels... wrong?

Anyone doing an X-Men Halloween costume this year?
I had been considering dressing as Grace O'Malley for some time. But dressing as a Rennaissance pirate queen, especially one of any historical significance, might be lost on most people.

Should Nightcrawler carry a sword?
I never said Kurt would specialize only in sabre. But the customized grips of foil and epee would, I think, pose a unique problem to him. And the tendency of sabre to rely more on the strength of the first three fingers would be an advantage to him. Of course, these differences are nothing he couldn...

Nobody famous. (Though I certainly think he deserves otherwise!) He's an engineer by day.

Wilkommen, Art _mage. I'd seen your Arabian NC and some of your other pictures and wanted to say great job.
Also, one of the best jazz pianists I've had the privilege of knowing shares your nationality.

Nightcrawler: "You sure this is gonna work?"
Forge: "No."
Nightcrawler: "Wunderbar, let's hit it!"
That also has to be my favorite. It's NC at his best!

Well, he also has the speed, agility, the grip, and yes, the personality that's best suited for sabre.

>Whenever they show his bedroom he's always got a giant cross over his bed, but no corpus on it, what Catholic does this? Actually, quite a lot, and there's a reason. There are a number of reasons, both cultural and theological, why some Catholics have crosses without the Corpus. I have a cross in n...

I don't think he'd keep the Soulsword, however. (I suspect the reason why it was foisted up him without his conscious knowledge is because he would not have wanted it.)

I thought the whole idea of Kurt "studying" to be a priest needed to be better researched. Think about it. Most readers, I'm assuming, know what the word "seminarian" means. (And I never knew a seminarian who wore a collar, at least until he was ordained to the transitional diaco...

Oh, that is great. I wonder if the trucker spoke with a slight Bavarian accent. Or maybe he was inspired by someone who does.

I don't think there's much to discuss. Stuff happened, we get an inkling as to why, and I suspect that 11 and 12 will explain the who and how.

More to put on a hopefully soon to be social fencing forum. :D After a bit of disappointment missing the last practice (due to my son needing a trip to the ER), I was back today. After some fun with the sabre, coach decided to give my wrists and fingers a bigger challenge and put me on epee. Great f...

fan-fic question
The way I see it, a story with a well-developed original character, and I'm not necessarily saying that's what my work is , beats hack work of any kind. And a little wish fulfillment can be a good thing. At any rate, there's good and bad in every variety of fic, though I must confess that ther...

fan-fic question
: It's a little embarrassing at times. I put a bit of work into a fic, and find out most sites won't take it because it's a Mary Sue. No matter how atypical I make it. (Okay, rich family that lives like peasants- maybe they are too perfect.)

Actually, what my husband enjoys about this is that some young-earth creationists have lately embraced cryptozoology to help further their beliefs that dinosaurs existed far more recently than most believe.

Schiavo autopsy finally released... (the new religion thread?)
I'd say the mother in question was carrying a person, yes, but not, strictly speaking, a passenger. Perhaps carpool laws should declare that the car must have at least one person riding- in the passenger seats. That way, nobody's definition of personhood is threatened, and nobody will try to use a f...
