Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland

He's got a new one! :D I haven't been this excited for a movie in a very long time. I've always been fond of the classic books like Peter Pan and Treasure Island, and of course Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Who'd have know that a brilliant director (my favorite, in fact) would be amazing enough ...

Is Ryan Reynolds being stretched too thin??

I don't know about too thin. Remeber that one year when Jude Law was all over the place? Maybe Ryan Reynolds is going to have something like that going on. But I'd like to see him in some more stuff. I've only seen about three of his movies, and I've enjoyed him so far (especially as Wade/Deadpool. ...

Hi People!

Welcome to our nasty little place (no offense, I actually really like it here). Sorry if I'm a bit late in this. I haven't been on in a while. If you're not sure what to call me, just go with Tober. D'you mind if I shorten it to Rox? I know it's not that nice of me, but I tried to type out "Rox...

Pretty places you've been. Image heavy.

Yes, it is Serpent Mound. I posted the photo I took of the historical marker to identify it. I have been there often and it is eerily beautiful. The best time to see it is when no-one else is there. Mr. nel and I went once on a cold misty day in November, many years ago. My fantasy took over and I ...

Alan Cumming In Spiderman The Musical!

Haha! Thanks, Ult, I think. :) I don't know, maybe I'm a bit hard on the web-slinger. I just don't find the character at all appealing. Love the villians and everything else, it's just the hero that does nothing for me. Sorry. But who knows? Maybe this new musical will finally do it for me. W...

This incredibly beautiful and ancient place is not far from where I live in Ohio: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o263/neling4/Serpent%20Mound/serpent2.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o263/neling4/Serpent%20Mound/th_SerpentMound003.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o263/neling4/Serpe...

Small "Off Topic Antics" Section suggestion. . .

(Small correction to everything I've been saying)

I keep using the word polls, and I mean threads. Sorry for any confusion. I started this when I was very new.

If Nightcrawler had been in the movie

I was super unhappy when Nightcrawler didn't show up this time around. Then I was even more uphappy when I watched it a second time and realized that they didn't even mention Nightcrawler's not being there! I mean, they could have said something, like he'd gone to Germany, or was traveling on the lo...

The Crappiness of X3

I am SO glad that I'm not to only one who thought it was terrible. The first time I watched it, the fact that Kurt wasn't in it was too distracting for me to pay anymore attention because I was waiting the whole movie for him to show up! After the initial shock and unhappiness that lack of Nightcraw...

Michael Jackson Died at Age 50

You know? I was never too big a MJ fan. I was born out of the era, in 1993. I grew up listening to AC/DC (not by choice) Queen, The Beatles, and blink-182 (completely by choice). I'd heard his songs, but had no idea who had created them or the signifigance of that creator. All I got to see of him wa...

Alan Cumming In Spiderman The Musical!

I don't know. I find him weak, and I can't stand his catch-phrases (no offense). He's just one of those heros that makes me want the villian to win. Maybe it's a hate without reason. You know, a blind hate or something. I just don't find him interesting at all. But I actually lke the costume. It's j...

Alan Cumming In Spiderman The Musical!

This is great! Well, not truely great, because I absolutely hate Spider Man with a passion. But it's great that Mr. Cumming will be in another musical. I've been wanting him to do something this big since I saw him in "Cabaret." I always liked him best when he was singing. He does wonders ...

Hmm. That actually makes tons of sense. I mean, I sort of knew about how artists put themselves into what they create, but I like the idea of what you said it's about; six people trying to survive the things that they're up against. Props to you, Ult_Sm86! ;) And you know, I like that fact that one ...

Oh, come on. I still love him to bits, movie or not. He was presicely what the X2 movie needed, and even though he was far different in the comics, he's still a great character on his own.

Yeah, I see what you mean about their art being pretty crappy. But me, in all my weirdness, watched the movie with the audio commentary by the director and two of the actors on, and I learned quite a lot. I'll have you guys know that you're not the first or the only people to notice the quality of t...

lol well I'm gladl you came up with anot too horrible soundtrack. You do have Jonas Bros. and My Chemical Romance on there, but thankfully you got Beatles which is equivalent to TWO JB's songs and THREE MCR songs. Also you got Mika. I would've gone with "Grace Kelly" for a song about Merc...

Um, yeah, I think so. In the original show they sing through the entire thing, and there are a lot more songs to it. It has a very interesting set, all crowded together on the stage.

You saw them as hippies? In what way?

Yeah, the teacher did say we couldn't use the movie soundtrack. Now, the project is finished, and I did use Ult_Sm86 suggestion for "Yellow," for the balcony scene instead of Drops of Jupiter. I got a perfect score "You're Beautiful," by James Blunt "Any Other World" by...

Thank you so much, Ult. Did you have to choose songs that went along with the scenes? And if so, what did you yuse "Yellow" for, because I have that on my iPod (also, it's one of my favorite songs. I knew you guys had good taste).
