Does Marvel fear Nightcrawler?
They don't fear him. Why would they? They just don't think he makes for very compelling stories. Writers don't feel inspired by him. And I can understand it. If a writer has to choose between a darker, conflicted character with issues and a light-hearted, peaceful character who loves life, he'll jum...

who does kurt like
He kinda liked the chick (Mara? I don't keep up *at all*, sorry) in Asumus' one-shot. She'd be fun to defend from various evil types; it'd be fun to see her written as a sorta dorky gal who manages by pure luck to escape all the perils. Like Clouseau, but not a brainless espece d'idiot. I'd rather ...

Nightcrawler in Uncanny First Class
I really liked it! Although Kurt is kind of acting insane and the whole mob scene thing feels tired at this point (and modern New Yorkers shouting about demons? Really??). What I liked was the characterization, enhanced by Cruz's wonderful art, and that Kurt actually DID something, as crazy as that ...

Damn hot pic of Kurt
My favourite non-comic version of Kurt thus far is the Wolverine and the X-Men one...they seem to have gotten the balance right. He kicks butt, is charming as hell (you'll notice Wanda didn't fall for Gambit's charms...only Kurt's :)), Because Wanda has brains and self-respect. God, I love WATXM Ku...

Hate to disappoint you, but being single and Catholic still means no sex. Hate to disappoint you, but his history shows that he's banged at least two women (Amanda and Cerise) and he's never been married. He's not the perfect Catholic. He also had sex with Anjulie. His virgin ship has sailed whethe...

Shouldn't nightcrawler get his own movie?
Also, who else besides the Elf would be in it? Wolverine has some characters in his background (Gambit, Deadpool, Sabertooth), but Nightcrawler grew up at a circus. All the famous and classic characters are sort of exempt. Gambit and Deadpool were pretty much retconned into Wolverine's past because...

I know I'm a bit late with this...but did anyone else notice his extra digits? :eek Yes. I believe it's artist Simone Bianchi's fault (and every single person at Marvel who didn't catch the error). This problem didn't start until after he had posted a new costume/character design for Kurt, giving h...

Ultimate X-Men Annual #2
The scene early on where he saves the evil guy (I forget his name, but it's one of the splash pics at the top of Scrawlers) seemed to indicate that Kurt had a good heart -- saving his enemy. lol he wasn't saving him he was stealing his snowmobile. :P I think what is referred to is after he and the ...

I was expecting this to be a thread about all the retarded outfits various artists have dressed him in over the years. I'm partial to the purple sweatpants he wore in an early issue of Excalibur, though the red hot pants/white wifebeater combo he had in issue 50-something give them a run for their ...

I'm completely confused about which horned woman is whom.....BUT Kurt's the main hero, he's got a sword....THE sword....and is 'buckling some swashes'! He's not evil, he's not a 'demonoid', he's not dead, and he's not quitting! I'll buy it! (I think that rug Neling has on the 'shrine' is doing some...

QUITTING TIME???? Kurt leaves the X-Men!
What I am right now most disturbed by is that it's apparently implied that he slept with his #1 fangirl. That's just horribly sleazy, if so. The beginning of the comic depicts him as whiny and immature and then he goes on to being someone who would use a fangirl for sex?? Thank you, Marvel. I'm real...

If this is the big climax of Nightcrawlerage, I think I'm giving up. Marvel is so out of touch with who Kurt is and what he stands for that they might as well kill him off.

I don't understand Bob... what am I looking at there?? Is that the actual artwork from "Quitting Time"? Yes, that's the artist's deviantart gallery and the actual art for the oneshot. And below that art is a comment section. One of the commenters has the screenname "comicninja"....

What are you worried about, exactly? Of course Claremont wants to think of his spin-off as the "real" universe. That doesn't mean anyone else will, or should. And as for Kurt dying in the one-shot, read the artist's comment to "comicninja" at the bottom of this page.

Well...without Kurt...how many of us have an incentive to buy a Marvel comic? 4paws has Gambit...Elfdame has Spidey...as far as I know the rest of us read Marvel pretty much for Nighty...so no Nighty, no money for Marvel... I don't think the people who read Marvel only for Kurt are numerous enough ...
