X-Men: 2nd Coming (SAY WHAAAA)
Hate to say this, but when I'm in a comic shop or library perusing X-titles (which I rarely do), I always flip thru them or look at covers for Nighty. No Crawlage, no interest. I am so one-sided. {sigh}

I have no examples though because he's lacking in the character development/motivation/interaction/ you know real world stuff that makes it believable even though yes it is a comic book , which is the only thing that makes fiction worth my time. Hitting the nail on the head. BINGO! This isn't just ...

How should nightcrawler return?
So, Rowena, if you're perusing this thread, would it be (a) Nightcrawler vs. Bastion, with no death, or (b) bringing Kurt back? And I want more people to enter THIS current challenge , because it's such a lovely idea! How appropriate to write/draw what we love best about The Fuzzy Elf! Over a month ...

I don't see how bringing him back at, or by, the end of this arc would make any sense. Um, kinda the way having him "quit" and go to Winzeldorf to solve a crisis and kiss a fangirl and then suddenly decide he needed to "unquit." Yeah, I trust the Marvel guys to make it all belie...

I've figured out the PERFECT way to bring back The Fuzzy One. :spidey makes a deal with the Devil: Bring back the insouciant swashbuckler and the web-spinner will personally forget he ever loved Gwen Stacy, married Mary Jane, or even HAD an Aunt May. He'll go to work for Oscorp and create armaments ...

three quick points from someone who admittedly doesn't keep up with MU: 1) Wasn't colussus cremated as well? 2) In "Quitting Time," he quits at the beginning and then ends up the jolly old X-man again at the end. 3) As for the funeral, trust me, if they respected his faith, they would have...

Read the summary; made me glad I'm not reading current X-titles. Saw Ang's post on the board there, and I can't resist saying that he prolly converted and got ordained with the same mail-order priest scheme that Nighty used back in the day. :shifty Isn't it odd that Wolvie, the one person who seems ...

You've been talking to Bman, yes? (or did I even mention that idea to him? if not, great minds think alike. And you're even young, must've been a pup when it came out) And the Jossed-in-space ... another case of great minds.
Love it. Keep adding to it. Only about, what, 34 verses to go?

Maybe they'll all wrap their arms around each other in a circle and sing "On Eagles' Wings" and Scott will break down and say, "AAAAUGH! Mea culpa."
Or not.

Now if he met with God (and Dave!) and they said, "We don't care what those yo-yo's think. It's not your time yet," and they sent him back, that's cool. Yeah, I guess that means being kicked out of heaven, but for good reasons that will validate his faith, make him happy, and give no caus...

Kladyelf -- you had me lol-ing to the max. Loved it. When I mentioned Jean/Phoenix in another thread, I was totes kidding. Had NO idea they would actually try to pull that off. I think I'm safer if I stay out of touch as I have been. When my wild-@$$ jokes turn out to be serious Marvel plots, augh.

I enjoyed the tween-oriented titles (maybe I'm an 11-yr-old boy in a fifty-ish woman's body?) like Marvel Adventures and X-men:First Class. They are still fun, at least to me.

I hope it's ok to quote from someone there. "Gary Fitzgerald" expressed many feelings that seem to be popping up here a lot. Emphasis mine. What annoys me about Kyle and Yost is that I know than they can do better than the grim, relentless misery they put us through every time they write a...

Sorry, I'm too indecisive to do artists AND/OR writers. Must have some Artists (A) and some Writers(W) 1) (A&W -- makes Dave sound like a root beer! :D) Cockrum's 4-part 1985 solo series . More fun than a barrel o' blue monkeys. If I ever got rich and bought a comic panel, it'd be the one where ...

OT (as usual, for me): I like Kurt's Catholicism in general tho I realize that turned his Creator off. If he were written as a normal person (like Ang) who was a swashbuckler with a big heart that came quietly from his Faith, it might not be such a turn-off to people. In my fanfic he's pretty hard-c...

I'm glad Paty finally chimed in. As for merchandising, I've often wondered why they never thought to marked a Bamf doll. I know lots of folks would have bought one, not only peeps who knew who Nightcrawler (and, by extension, the little critters know as bamfs) was, but it would prolly have been cute...

Found this as Hubby (believe it or not) was digging thru Scrawler galleries. But I couldn't figure out how to display as [img].

I suppose I am too innocent in the ways of the world -- I don't hang out at Marvel forums -- but why would they delete your post? To me, it was a model of restraint. All you did was express a consumer's opinion, with tact and no swear words which might offend Old Broads or kiddies. No death threats,...

I agree. They probably think it consists of some old man in a surplice, cassock, and stole, muttering in Latin or quoting Ghibran and saying nice things about the deceased.
If he even gets that much. More likely: a bloobath by his best bud followed by everyone having sex to feel better.
