X-Men: 2nd Coming (SAY WHAAAA)
We could end up with Nightcrawler's reanimated virus-infected body fighting against Bastion's Kurt-infected body. Kurt could be made the ultimate hero by conquering Bastion from the inside to regain control over his own body. Since Hope has to be of some use, she could be the one to destroy Bastion...

But it's hard to ignore Darick's work and Dave Cockrum's original work and design.

Drastic, Wahnsinn, I love your ideas. Althougfh very different, both would work for me. The only thing I'd add to your scenario, Drastic, is that Kurt shouldn't be depressed all the time. He could still crack jokes, sound optimistic, remain smiling, and be torn inside. That said, I still think his d...

Nightcrawler Origins
Worst version of his origin ever.
Nightcrawler is reduced to being a victim and a religious man.
Stupid story.

I think a great writer can make any character interesting, so... why not ! We only (*sighs*) have to get a talented writer, passionate about Kurt, on the X-books. Quite a rarity. I'd love to see him back as a leader too. And with the soulsword . I so like his links to the occult world (Margali, Meph...

I liked the Mark Millar/Adam Kubert version.
Kurt as a weapon X agent was a great idea.
Sadly, nothing came out of it. Millar did'nt use him at all...

It's a problem I have : I love making lists. :D Here are my top five writers (and/or) artists for Nightcrawler. 1. Alan Davis (just the best...) 2. Darick Robertson (because we all know the implication of Darick in the solo series, both as a writer and an artist !) 3. Dave Cockrum (his creator HAS T...

[rquote=33699097&tid=13011&author=Angelique]I think of it this way. Magneto wasn't originally Jewish. Nightcrawler wasn't originally Catholic. Wolverine didn't originally have any real friends. Suffice to say, not all changes made to characters are for the worse. I think making Magneto Jewis...

It's just my opinion, but for me, the religious side is not necessary. I understand why people dig it but he wasn't created this way. I stand with the late Dave Cockrum for this. It is always a stange thing for me, as a european, to see the creation slipping from the creator to a company and other w...

As much as I'd like to believe that he's coming back that quickly, I highly doubt it. It doesn't make sense to kill him in one issue, and than in the same week in which his funeral is being held, bring him back. [Edited on 1/5/10 by Trigger] Au contraire, I would find this really enjoyable. Xavier ...

I had always assumed I'd just be getting more as the character progressed. Most of my collection is made up of... *hack* Austen. :( However, those are NOT my favorite, and will NOT be coming to school with me today. LOL. I still like Austen's work sorry. At least, the guy really cared for Kurt ! ^^...

Marvel just doesn't care, you know. What they think about Kurt is that he's a beloved but minor character. For us, he's the embodiement of the X-Men's spirit. They just don't see things as we all do here. Apart from James Asmus, who's new to this business and hasn't got a big influence, we haven't g...

My concern right now isn't IF Kurt dies anymore, but HOW he will.
I expect, at last, his ending to be heroic.
I bet he'll bite the dust saving Hope from Bastion.
We'll see that in less than one week ...

My bet is on Nightcrawler...sadly. Here are the clues : 1.Wolverine's mourning in the previews. 2.Matt Fraction saying one of his favourites dies. 3.The large amount of Nightcrawler this month (X-Men: Origins, Wolverine Origins, and Second coming #1 where he plays a significant role -something he ha...
