Prince Caspian
Well...the Gargoyles comic by Slave Labor Graphics was cancelled 'cos Disney got greedy and upped the licensing fee so SLG couldn't afford it. Profit seems to be all they care about... And I too preferred Caspian to LW&W...not sure why really...maybe it was the sexy Spanish accents :smirk I hope...

Oh yes! I did know Hugh Jackman was in Beauty and the Beast, he was Gaston! That man is one of those multitalented types and I love him for it! :love I have the Australian soundtrack...and I was given the Melbourne playbill...I saw it in Sydney well after he'd retired from the role. It would have b...

Prince Caspian (which is, creepily on right now behind me) made $419,651,413...it was hardly a flop. WALL-E was the only Disney film that made more that year. Disney did put a lot of money into both it and its merchandising, so it didn't make a huge profit for them, but it DID make a profit. It's '...

I've only seen two professional ones... My Fair Lady and Beauty and the Beast (you know Hugh Jackman was in the original Aussie production of that, right?)...but I've seen a few by our local amateur group, which are nearly always Gilbert and Sullivan...and heaps of movie versions. I'd go and see mor...

Kurt's Origins and How They Change
When Dave originally drew him one dark and stormy night, he saw him as being a failed demon, that he'd been sent to Earth to do some task and had totally mucked it up so he was afraid to go home. He dropped that over time. He was first offered to DC for a group called The Outsiders but was deemed 't...

Yeah...I'm one of the 'mixed about Burton' crowd....liked some things, didn't like others...but they're always visually stunning. I really don't want to derail the topic 'Tober, so only to appease you will i say that Corpse Bride was lacking in song and felt like a recreation of Nightmare to me (whi...

You know...I was probably one of the few people who actually went and saw the original in the cinema...though I was a kid. It was quite ahead of its time and failed to find an audience...though I believe it's developed something of a cult following now, yes? This version does look pretty awesome (th...

Man, I really HATE sites like these. It's like they're saying "You're not American, so you're not important enough to watch this." I know it actually has something to do with copywrites and so on...but it still sucks. Though I kind of like Madman's (an Australian site with legal streaming)...

I'm wondering if they'll even go beyond Dawn Treader. It'll be a whole new cast of characters, more or less (IIRC), and movie trilogies do seem to be the norm. And I don't think any adaptation has bothered with the remaining books in the past.

I don't know...it followed on somewhat from mine... I'm reading The Voyage of the Dawn Treader . The language of it has me laughing my butt off...all so proper and English...and I can't help but hear Caspian with a Spanish accent now... So. The movie of that is due about this time next year. How man...

I know this is a fairly deep and meaningful discussion, but I always have a fit of giggles when watching Prince Caspian , in a scene where I shouldn't be laughing... You know that scene where he's got his sword at his uncle's throat? I always think of how Ben Barnes said he based his Spanish accent,...

Was yours awful slimey lemony stuff? But yeah...total la la land. I walked into the room, they got me to lie down, they told me everything they were doing (putting sensors on me all over the place). They put this little thing in the back of my hand. They put a needle in the little thing that shot so...

Got my intestines prodded with a long, flexible tube this morning. Why this is something for the astounding thread, you ask? No, it has nothing to do with strange kinks on my part. But not only did they find out that I'm perfectly healthy, I also got to stuff my face at the all-you-can-eat Chinese ...
