A tribute to Dave Cockrum on his birthday
I've been thinking about Dave Cockrum's work a lot lately. A few days ago I put together a blog post about how I became a fan of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Of course I had to discuss Dave's contributions to the series, which were a major factor in drawing me in. And then today I realized that this ...

Re: Nightcrawler Returns -- Inhumanity by Matt Fraction
As long as this is "happy, swashbuckling Nightcrawler" who is back, rather than "brooding, melancholy Nightcrawler," then I am happy.

The return of the Futurians
This was a pleasant surprise. I was at Midtown Comics last week. Among the independent titles, I was surprised to see issue three of a miniseries entitled Avatar of the Futurians. Yes, that's right, as Dave Cockrum's Futurians. It was written & penciled by a gent named David Miller. I had no ide...

Is there room for a Legion of Super-Heroes discussion?
I was never really a fan of the LSH until I saw Dave Cockrum's work on it. I picked up Legion Archives vol 10 specifically for Dave's artwork, and ended up really liking the characters & stories, too.

I wasn't sure if I was going to pick this up or not, since I had no idea if it would be any good. But after reading Paty's comments, yep, I'll either buy the issues, or the inevitable TPB. I always wished Marvel would just come right out and say Magneto was Jewish. Some people argued that having a J...

Dave Cockrum has passed away
I am so sorry to hear about this. Dave Cockrum was such a brilliant artist and an incredibly nice guy. I count myself fortunate to have met him on a few occasions and obtained some nice artwork by him. He was one of my all-time favorite comic book creators. My condolences to Paty and to the rest of ...

Sounds like you had a really great time. I was lucky enough to meet the Cockrums a few times back when they lived in the NY area, and they would do appearances at comic shops in Westchester now & then. That type of setting definitely gave fans such as myself more of an opportunity to chat with t...

7. Finally we know what really happened between the elf and his brother Stefan. It also "erases" the dumb story written by Scott Lobdell in Marvel Comics Present more than ten years ago.
Oh, well, nevermind.

I don't have a list like that on-hand. But, I can tell you what I recall off the top of my head... The majority of Dave Cockrum's Legion of Super-Heroes is reprinted in Legion Archives volumn 10 .
